Facebook: A Fashion or a Technology?

Facebook, that’s what drives our lives on internet. Am I true? Most of you will answer Yes! I remember a very famous dialog from the movie “The Social Network” when Mark Zuckerberg says “It won’t be finished, That’s the Point, The way fashion’s never finished ” when Facebook CFO, Eduardo advises him to Monetize Facebook and asks him “When it will be finished?”.

Facebook has become a very important part of our lives, if you have something in your mind you just write it on your wall, you got some big news you just share it, your best friend’s b’day is coming there’s no better way than wishing him/her on his/her wall, You’ve got an interesting pic or link just Facebook it! and many more.

Ok…Lets talk about the Technology or we may call it a fashion, we have seen many updates and new features in Facebook since its launch back in year 2004, Recently Google launched its new Google+ project, which gave us interesting results in form of number of users , but it may be due to the fact that Facebook has attracted the worldwide users to social networking. Google + do provided some new features like circles and hangout, but Facebook already had the circle feature no matter if the friends are not shown in the circle, The new feature Facebook lacked was a Video Chat, that overpowered Google + via its hangout feature in its early days, but according to Skype people Facebook  and Skype were already working on a Video Calling feature before Google revealed their latest project and finally Facebook launched the Video Calling.

Today I saw a new feature of the Facebook News Feed crawler in the right sidebar of the Facebook Home. The update is really awesome and will make reading the news feeds more faster and getting the updates write onto the sidebar without refreshing your news feeds. This news feed crawler shows a summery of the news feeds and you can click on them to see the full update.

Thanks To Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook for making the Social Networking such a great experience for Developers…….yes that I mean DEVELOPERS along with the users.
