I am sitting alone in the Computer Center of Projects and Development India Limited and its really boring since I joined here on 13th June this year, I just completed my project work on a project which I codenamed “VENDM” a Vendor Management System, I was stunned when came to know that the company has no Software to manage the Vendors, The company previously used the Microsoft Excel Sheets to keep the records which all of you obviously know is a big old kind of thing, I was instructed to develop a software for this, but I choose to develop an Online portal which will be able to run on LAN so that the whole database will be on one server.The development started 2 days after I joined here, since I received all the sample sheets of the company 2 days later after joining them, On 15th June I started working on the project and the development work was running very smoothly and I thought that I will be able to complete the project in a matter on approximately 10 days, but 5 days after I completed half of the project, I got my all the logic wrong when I got stuck into a problem which I was unable to solve and after 5 hours or so, I came to a new Project Development Procedure and started the development once again from Zero…..That was really a bad feeling to be working again from beginning, The project was first intended to provide three different interfaces 1 for Admin, 1 for the Vendors and the other one for the employees of PDIL, which was than reduced to only Administrators because I got all my logics wrong and has to start it from the beginning. I started by creating the forms followed by creating all the databases and then designing the interface which lead to the Connection of the databases to the interface and all the forms, grid views and list views. The day came when I completed my project from my side very early on 24th May, I had to show my completed project to my project coordinator out their at PDIL, I thought its all over for me now, but I got some more tips for improving the VENDM from my project coordinator, I thought them ok and just did changes to it and the next day I was ready again to demonstrate VENDM to him, I got some more tips, I again made some changes to it and got it more sophisticated and simpler with his help, I visited him again, I didn’t remember but I think 2 or 3 times more and some improvements in it.This is 30th June the last day of this month and I have completed my project work from my side, I think that there’s nothing much to do in this now and I will get out of this today, Still waiting to demonstrate my project to my project coordinator. I’m writing this in the middle of the day, sitting on a chair in the office….hoping to get a green light for my project so that I can demonstrate it to the Materials Department who manages the record keeping of vendors and get my internship completed successfully as I have some more works to finish.
Google trying hard to take down Facebook…
Google seems to be working hard these days modifying their design and interfaces of all of their websites, I opened Google 2 days back and saw the Google Navigation bar go Black, with an Orange Line on selected item, looks awesome!….and today morning when I visited http://www.google.co.in , saw a whole new design of the search engine with a trendy look……seems to be inspired from Microsoft’s Search Engine Bing. That was about Google.
Yesterday I visited YouTube, and What I got was a the YouTube’s media player turned into black, I thought after visiting Google.com that YouTube may also have a new interface but…..a big NO….Nothing was changed, The Black Colored player looks awesome, but What I think is that Google needs to change the interface of YouTube to give it modern look, The interface totally doesn’t match with the player.
And finally the much awaited Google + Project , every body is waiting for and some people are already using it, The new Social Networking website and Guess What Google People are already saying that it will change the Social Networking experience and will be the best ever Social Networking platform ever built on this planet. Most of you must have played PC games like Quake and many other which featured teleporters, Lightsabers, Jetpacks and many more, What if in forthcoming years not in a year or two, We see them in our real lives.
What if Quantum Teleporter goes a reality and people can travel via it in a matter of seconds. I can’t predict very well ‘how will it cost’, but what if it becomes a routine of our lives as brushing out teeth. Phew This will be the thing………………Save to Time, Save your Money!
